Alexander "Alex" Scott Rufner, Jan 21, 1994 Aug 1, 2022, age 28. Alex, is survived by his parents Joseph and Caroline "Carrie" Rufner, his younger brother Brett (Lauren Prather) Rufner and sister Katie Merritt (Matt), Meagan Thompson, his daughter Rose Rufner, Caroline Holland, his Grandmothers Rosemary Chapman ( the late Jerry Chapman), and Mildred Rufner (the late Joe Rufner), and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Alex graduated from Turpin High School. He enlisted in the US Navy in 2014. Alex served as an Interior Communications Electrician, Seaman on the USS Whidbey Island. After the Navy, Alex continued to work as a contractor to the Navy as an Electrician. Alex enjoyed sports, fishing and spending time with his family.

Mass of Christian Burial at Guardian Angels Church, Mt. Washington on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11 AM. Friends may visit at the Church on Sat. from 9-11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund for the benefit of Alex's girlfriend, Meagan Thompson at any Fifth Third Bank.
