Obituary for Anamae T. Breitenbach

Mrs. Anamae Breitenbach, 96, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away December 22,
2020, in West Chester, Ohio. She was born to the late Edward L and Mary (Mae)
Welsh in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 26, 1924. Growing up in the Price Hill area,
Anamae graduated from Mother Seton High School in 1942. She married Louis H.
Breitenbach in 1948 and they lived in Amelia and the Mount Washington area of
Cincinnati, Ohio. Her husband predeceased her in 2004.

Anamae is survived by six of her seven children, Dan (Cathy) Breitenbach, Sharon
(Dave - deceased) Hoffert, Diane (Jeff) Altherr, Tom (Jaime) Breitenbach, Jim
Breitenbach (deceased), Bill (Pat) Breitenbach and Neal Breitenbach.

She is survived by ten grandchildren: Todd (Stacy) Hoffert; Carrie (Dan) Little;
Brian (Julie) Altherr; Rachel (Josh Rhorer) Breitenbach; Daniel (Kirsten Matala)
Breitenbach; Hannah, Kelsey, and Evan Breitenbach; and Tom (Katy) and Stefanie
(Nick Katsanevakis) Breitenbach. She is also survived by eleven great-
grandchildren: Ava and Brady Hoffert; Parker and Anna Little; Alexis and Madison
Altherr; Olivia, Jackson, Aliyah, Isaiah Breitenbach; and Owen Breitenbach.

She took great joy in raising her children and pride in their accomplishments. She
also pursued a career in retail. Beginning at McAlpins in Cherry Grove, she rose
to being a buyer for McAlpins, later Dillards, in Eastgate. Her easy going nature
and willingness to chat made her a natural. Her children often commented that
she never met a stranger as she willingly shared stories with one and all.

Her hobby was traveling. She especially enjoyed the cruises her McAlpins friends
organized and traveled the country with her husband to various 8 th Air Force
reunions. She also never missed an opportunity to visit Germany when one of her
sons was stationed there. She often commented how she was so fortunate to
travel and always longed for taking another trip.

A private family service will be held with burial at the Guardian Angels Cemetery
in Mount Washington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Judes Childrens Research
Hospital in Memphis, TN, her favorite charity and to which she donated as
recently as last month.
