Obituary for Brenda L. Schanher (nee Ulery)
Brenda L. Schanher (nee Ulery), beloved mother of Elizabeth "Liz" J. (Jeremy) Lloyd; dear sister of Phil (Mary) Ulery, David (Judy) Ulery, Keith (Lucy) Ulery, & the late Janet Dobie; daughter of the late Rev. Dale & Elizabeth Ulery. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, & great nieces & nephews.
Brenda was a godly woman who was a loving mother, caring friend and a bright light and warm smile to everyone she met. Brenda was a hardworking Macy's employee who loved working with customers and called many of her coworkers family over her 16 year career. Brenda's bubbly and friendly personality touched the lives of so many people, from being a mentor to people in her multiple Bible study groups over the years, to volunteering after Hurricane Katrina with church and volunteering for Macy's.
God was always at the center of everything she did, often telling close friends and family to, "Turn over your worries to God." Brenda lived by faith even when life threw hurdles her way, instead she would just pray more. She was positive role model to many, but also reminded us to give ourselves grace, as God has done for us time and time again. While she was called home sooner than we would've preferred, she will live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives, until we are one day reunited with her and Jesus in Heaven. Proverbs 3:5-6
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church (Davies Hall), 6474 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45230 on May 20, 2023, from 2pm-5pm.
