Obituary for Carol Jean Haney (Lawson)

Carol Jean Haney, beloved wife of James David Haney, and amazing mother to Kelly Jean and Michael David, went to be with the Lord early morning, February 1st, 2023.

Born December 13, 1941, Carol was a Cincinnati native. Graduated from Anderson High School in 1959, she spent her married years raising Kelly and Mike, then went on to serve with the Multiple Sclerosis Society for over 20 years. She spent a short stint with SS&G, then devoted her remaining working years serving Anderson Hills Church.

Living life to the fullest best describes the way Carol carried herself throughout her life. She worked alongside Dave to give her kids some fantastic vacations, incredible memories, and all of the love one could imagine. She set a perfect example for how to be a great wife and mother, and how to live a life of faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was blessed to see parts of the world many never get to see, with most of her travels and favorite experiences coming throughout North America with Dave.

She loved the outdoors, the mountains, the beach….anywhere she could appreciate the natural beauty God created. She spent close to 20 years volunteering her time to Hamilton County Park District.

Carol is survived by an incredibly loving family. In addition to Kelly and her husband Jack, and Mike and his wife Kim, she was a devoted Grandmother to Katy Yovanovich (Kuzniczci) and her husband Mark, Cody Kuzniczci and his wife Katie, Julie Kuzniczci, Amanda Haney, and Austin Haney. She also had the opportunity to be a Great Grandmother to Axell and Adelyn, as well as soon to be Rose Kuzniczci. She was a much loved sister to Janet Douglas, amazing aunt to Lori Weyshawn Koons and her husband Eric, Craig Douglas and his wife Shelly, and Scott Douglas and his wife Megan. She was a much loved Great Aunt to Jesse Douglas-Seitz and his wife Kristen, Thlayla Potter and her husband Jeff, Jonah Douglas, Elias Douglas, and Isabelle Douglas.

Friends may visit at Anderson Hills Church on Monday, February 6th from 2 to 3 pm where a memorial service for family and close friends will immediately follow at 3 pm.
