Obituary for Catherine "Cathy" J. Klug (nee Slade)

Catherine J. Klug passed away peacefully February 12, 2024, at the age of 69 surround by her loving family.

Cathy was one of six children. She grew up in Northside and graduated from Aiken High School. She lived most of her life in Cincinnati with family before moving to Naples, Florida where she worked for 19 years as a deputy county clerk at the Collier County Courthouse. After retiring in 2022, she moved back to Cincinnati to spend retirement with her family. Cathy enjoyed making flower arrangements, playing bingo with friends, shopping to find the best deals, playing cards, and most of all spending time with her granddaughters, watching their sports and teaching them her love for sewing and crafting. Her thoughtfulness and care for others were evident in the loving circle of friends and family that surrounded her throughout her life.

She is survived by her children: Christopher (Laura) Klug and Lauren (Chad) Wiseman; granddaughters: Harlow Wiseman, Emma and Abigail Klug; siblings: Thomas (Sally) Slade, Jeanne Hennigan, Mary Lynn (Jerry) Schneider, Mary Ann (Tony) Sampson, and Patrick Slade. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Jeanne Slade, daughter Stephanie Klug and former husband Kevin Klug.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 800 Ohio Pike, (Withamsville) Cincinnati, OH 45245, on Sat. Feb. 17, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit T. P. WHITE & SONS Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave, Mt. Washington, on Sat. from 9:00-10:00 AM.
