Thornton, beloved mother of Mark (Debbie) Thornton, Sharon Thornton, Joe (Carol) Thornton, Greg (Nori) Thornton, Kathleen (Charles) Riley, and the late Patty Lambert, sister of the late Hubert and Marvin Backherms, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Backherms (nee Brockman), dear grandmother of John, Joe, Sarah, Tyler, Jarred, Melissa, Shawnda, Bobby, Andrew, David, Rachel, and Katrina, also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
