Obituary for Charles Francis Hoh

Charles Francis Hoh, age 72 of New Richmond, died February 9, 2023. He was the beloved fiancé of Kellie Kallas, cherished father of Logan Snyder, devoted son of the late Frederick and Alice May Hoh, caring brother of Mary Helen (James) Sauls and Samuel G. (Kathy) Hoh, and the late Laura J. and Sarah L. Hoh, loving uncle of Jeffrey, Laura Martin, Matthew and Mark Sauls and John and Andy Hoh. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

Charles was born on July 3, 1950 in Cincinnati OH and lived in the home in New Richmond built by his grandfather, Charles May. He attended St. Xavier High School and New Richmond High School where he was a notable football player. Following graduation he attended University of Cincinnati.

Growing up with many dogs, cats, and horses, Charles had a love of animals who were more companions than pets, especially his cats "Stubbs" and "Puppy". Charles and Kellie supported Peppermint Pig and other
animal rescue organizations.

An Alaskan cruise with Kellie was the longest vacation Charles ever took away from work. He felt honored to meet the Captain of the ship and discuss his own Coast Guard Master Pilot Certification. Impressed, the
Captain then invited Charles to visit the bridge. President of Allcraft Marine for 40 years, Charles never failed to help others, including his parish St Jerome. His incredible knowledge of boats, cars and motorcycles and his willingness to help others led to many, many close friends. Those friends far and wide often referred to him as the Mayor of Kellogg Ave. He touched so many lives and lived a full, humble, and generous life. He truly lived his faith in the Lord. Charles often said to Kellie “ There’s the right way, the wrong way, and the HOH way.”

Rest in peace, dear Charles.
