Elaine (nee Darr) Tomkins, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. Born in Romney, West Virginia on November 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Thelma (Henderson) Darr. Elaine is survived by her husband, Richard Tomkins, whom she has been married for 47 years and married on June 23, 1973. She is survived by daughters, Minh Evans (David) from Blanchester, Ohio, Hope Catanzaro (Quintin), and son, Robert Tomkins, from Cincinnati, Ohio. She has 8 grandchildren, Brooke Britton (Dylan) from Louisville, Ky, Hunter Evans from Blanchester, Ohio, Sarah, Jason, and Nicholas Ratcliff, Alana, Alicyia, and Austin Catanzaro all from Cincinnati, Ohio. She also has 1 great grandchild, Lucie Mae Britton from Louisville, Ky, She is also survived by two brothers, Roy Darr (Eliza) of Marshallville, Ohio, and Claude Darr (Les) of Reisterstown, Maryland and several nephews and nieces. Elaine had worked several secretarial and administrative positions which included working for the CIA in McLean, VA, Church Secretary, Clermont County Board of Mental Retardation (Special Olympics), and the latest, the Environmental Protection Agency in Cincinnati, OH until her retirement in 2018, She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and family, watching Equestrian competition, home renovation shows, and enjoying the beauty of the butterfly garden.
There will be a private service in Branch Mountain Cemetery Three Churches, WV on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
