Obituary for Gail E. Forberg (nee Fisher)

Gail Elaine Forberg, née Fisher age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at her home. Daughter of the late John W. Fisher and Lillian Fisher, née Wheatley. Beloved Mother of Arthur and Ned Solway, both of Santa Cruz, CA and Michael Solway, Cincinnati. Loving wife of the late Richard A. Forberg, stepmother to Lynn Julian, Ojai, CA and Richard Forberg, Nashville. Grandmother to Rex, David, Maxwell and Frances Solway. Great grandmother to Reece Shion Otaki Solway. Gail founded the Flair Gallery in 1962, along with her husband Carl Solway which later became Carl Solway Gallery. She was a talented artist and ceramist, voracious reader of history, biographies and the latest fiction, member of the Mercantile Library, active art collector and longtime volunteer of Radio Reading Service, WGUC & Public radio, long time ticket holder of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra concerts, life long Ohio Democrat, supporter for womens health, Planned Parenthood, and Caracole Cincinnati. There will be a memorial celebration of her life at a future date.
