James A. Surratt, 89, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on February 24, 2021. James leaves behind his four daughters, Carole (Mark) Bradley, Linda (Brad) Justice, Nancy (Russ) Holland and Susan (Lance) Runion, and son-in-law Steve Ahlrichs. He was the loving grandfather of Matthew, Steven, Kassia, Amanda, Ryan, Zachary, Meredith and Eric. He was known as great-grandpa Jim by Kai; great granddaughter, Paisley, is due to arrive late April. James A. was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Mary (nee Elmore), and youngest daughter, Julie, as well as his parents and eight brothers and sisters. Jim served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division, from 1953-1955. He went on to work over 30 years for The Kroger Company. After retiring from Kroger he worked for Gates McDonald, as well as the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, Beechmont Avenue and Forest Road on Saturday, March 27, at 1:00 PM.
