Obituary for Jerry Lee Greer
Jerry Lee Greer of Anderson Township departed this earth March 21, 2021 at the age of 96. Jerry was a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering and met the love of his life, his wife of 72 years, Hazel Hope (Bonham). Jerry served in the 102nd Infantry Division of the US Army in WWII. He had a 38-year career with the US Army Corps of Engineers working in Little Rock, Tulsa, and Cincinnati.
Jerry was a Registered Professional Engineer, member of Chi Epsilon (Honorary Civil Engineering Society), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of the American Military Engineers (SAME). He served on the Board of Visitors for Oklahoma State University School of Civil Engineering. He was a past president of the Oklahoma Section of ASCE and of the Cincinnati Post of SAME. He was a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge #425, the Tulsa Consistory and the Akdar ShrineTemple in Tulsa, Okla.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Hazel Hope; 2 daughters, Janet and Anita Marie; 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb and wife Jenny, Ruth and husband Karl, Zachariah, Rebekah and husband Jon, and Obadiah; and 5 great grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Oliver, Madison, and Carter Leigh.
Funeral is Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church at 10am. Visitation is at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, March 26th from noon to 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Anderson Hills United Methodist Church or to your favorite charity.
