I was saddened to hear of Uncle Jack’s death.

I think that the loss of one’s father is by far one of the saddest events of anyone’s lifetime. There are few other losses that measures up to this one. But knowing your dad as we did, we know that he would not want us sitting around grieving but rather celebrating the wonderful life he led. I am sure he had few regrets in living the full and successful life that he did. I take comfort knowing he is dancing with Aunt Janet again, I knew he would not be able to stay away from her for very long.

I only got to play in the Ritter Golf Outing once and I am sure John Apgar wishes I didn’t play that year, I certainly did not help my team at all since I was unable to make a putt or hit a drive off the tee. The Ritter Golf Outing is a wonderful tradition and I am sure it will continue in Uncle Jack’s memory.

I never got to play the Ritter Lottery, so in honor of your father, I have invested two dollars in The Ohio Classic Lottery drawing on 07-15-2020. The winnings will be split between all the Ritter Children, The Grandchildren, and the Great Grandchildren, so if we are fortunate enough to win, we should expect about $100 a piece. Uncle Jack and your mother left a great legacy!

Below are the numbers:

01-04-14-26-29-44
02-18-36-39-48-49

You are all reflections of your father and mother. They encouraged you to treat people with love, kindness, encouragement and empathy and you did not let them down. They were immensely proud of each one of you and I am happy and fortunate to have such great cousins.

I join in with everyone who knew your dad in wishing you peace and comfort as you face this exceedingly difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wonderful family.

Love

Dear Ritter Family,
I am very sorry about your father's recent passing. I remember him well as he was a good friend to my mom and dad. He and your mother shared many good times with my parents having parties and camping together in Myrtle Beach. God bless you all in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Richard Adams Jr.
