Condolence: I met John when he was working at Uptown Consortium and I worked at the University of Cincinnati. I was immediately impressed by his phenomenal memory and knowledge of details. But more importantly, as I got to know him better, I valued his high ethical standards, his caring nature, his respect for everyone, his humor, and his devotion to his wife. He was a positive force of nature and this world has lost one of the better souls.

Condolence: Growing up here at St. Mary's Church in Youngstown, I remember John as a former member of the parish. Presently, I have been back at St. Mary's as the pastor for the last 16 years. Be assured of my prayers and the prayers of the parishioners here during this time of you loss. God be with all of you!

Condolence: Like John, I was in public service for many years. Over time I called John for advice and guidance. He always took time to listen. He was a good guy. Sympathy to the family.
