Obituary for Kathryn "Dee" Wessling (Clark)

Kathryn "Dee" Wessling (nee Clark) of Anderson Township passed, peacefully at age 99 on Jan 21,2023. Preceded in death by her husband George Jr. and sisters Mary Edith Jostworth and Helen Horstman. Loving mother to Mary Ellen Wessling, Beth Wessling-Franz (Eric) and Douglas Wessling (Melinda), Grandmother to Katelyn, Michael & Daniel Wessling and Christopher & Kelli Franz. Beloved Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, born to Samuel F. and Mary L. Clark in 1923. After graduating from Norwood High School, she entered the United States Cadet Nurse Corps, graduating as an RN from Mercy Hospital in Hamilton Ohio. She lived thru the Great Depression and WWII - one of the "Greatest Generation". She enjoyed a long career in nursing until retiring from University of Cincinnati Medical Center in the mid 1990's. Married for 46 years to George Wessling Jr. She enjoyed a close relationship with her sisters and had many lifelong friends that were dear to her. She often said her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life and it showed in her unconditional love and support for her family. Kathryn was a devout Catholic and member of St. John Fisher Church in Newtown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Fisher Church, 3227 Church St., Newtown, Ohio on Thursday, Jan. 26th at 11 am. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 am. T.P. White & Sons Funeral home serving the family. www.tpwhite.com
