Hi My name is Sherry Spokas and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed many interactions at church with Brother Henkel. He had such a sweet spirit and a wonderful sense of humor and was so kind to me and my husband. My sweetest memory of him was when he came to the hospital to visit my husband during one of the many times he spent In there before he died. My husband’s family was from Lithuania and when he and Brother Henkel first met they just had an instant bond. My husband was a lot younger than Brother Henkel, but that age gap made no difference at all. At the hospital, he told us some of his life experiences to which my husband could relate. Most importantly, he brought us love and laughter during a stressful time in our lives and we were so grateful. My sincere condolences for your loss and I know God will comfort you all.
