LaVern Ida Mae West (nee Young), age 88, formerly of St. Bernard, passed away December 4, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Nelson West, dear sister of the late John "Bud" Young, Alverta Minges, Alvin "Pete" Young, Fr. Clyde Young, O.F.M., and Mary Irene Zerhusen, loving sister-in-law to Robert H. Zerhusen, devoted aunt to Donna (Paul) Hillebrand, Robert F. (Joyce) Zerhusen, Mary Ann (Roy) Bauer, Lisa (Steve) Spare, Neil (Susan) Zerhusen, Nancy (Kevin) Sullivan, John (Amy) Zerhusen, Bryan (Shannon) Young, Virgil Minges, and the late John "Sonny" Young. Affectionate great-aunt to many and caring friend of the late Keith Albrecht. She retired after a long career with Cincinnati Public Schools and will be greatly missed by her close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clement Church on Thursday, December 10th at 11 am. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11 am.
