Leland J. Bates, beloved husband of Debra (nee Stemmler) Bates. Devoted father of Brian (Kristin) Bates and the late Ashley Bates. Loving grandpa of Stella Bates. Caring brother of the late Nicholas (Joan) Spring and the late Sylvia (John) Obermeyer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday April 24, 2021 at the age of 72. Lee operated Crown Limo/Queen City Livery for 15 plus years serving the Funeral and Entertainment Industry throughout the greater tri-state area as well as the WEBN Annual Fireworks Transportion. One of Lee's great passions was for animals, which led to his involvement with the League for Animal Welfare and Wolf Creek Habitat in Brookville, Indiana. A celebration of Lee's life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family at the Wolf Creek Habitat, 14099 Wolf Creek Road, Brookville, IN 47012.
