Carmichael, Lois (née Nielsen), age 95, beloved wife of the late John Jack Carmichael for 69 years, passed peacefully June 7, 2020. Lois was the cherished daughter of George and Thelma (Nordyke) Nielsen. She attended Anderson Township Elementary and High Schools. After graduating from Miami University, Lois taught English and Phys Ed at Anderson High School and Lotspiech (now Seven Hills) until retiring to raise their family.

Jack and Lois loved golf, cruises, entertaining friends and especially family. Loving mother of Kathy (Reid) LeMasters, Karen (David) Morehead and John C. Carmichael. Devoted grandmother to Allison, A.J., Abby Armstrong and Amanda Armstrong Lindle, Bruce and Jeff Morehead, Caroline and Grant LeMasters, Megan (Greg) Soule, Jennifer (Matthew) Wirtz. Great-grandmother to Elias and Reine Soule, Merzen and Wynn Wirtz. Dear friend and neighbor to so many more.
