Obituary for Margaret M. Sears-Chinn (nee Nehus)
Margaret Sears-Chinn (nee Nehus), 97, of Anderson Township passed to her eternal reward on December 17, 2021, after a short illness at the home of her niece and caretaker Michelle Eldridge in Winchester, Ohio.
Margaret is survived by her children: Gil (Pat N. Hammons) Sears and Regina (Erik) Peterson,
grandchildren: Sean (Katheryn) Sears, Leigh Sears (Todd Jensen), Christian Veillet, and Gabrielle Veillet, great grandchildren: Jordan (Julia) Sears, Lauren (Chris) Ewing, and Parker Jensen, siblings: John Nehus and Kathryn Minton-Rice.
Margaret was preceded in death by parents Francis and Alma (nee Bayless) Nehus, by brothers George, Henry, Frank, and sister Mary Palmer.
She was married to the late Corbie Lee Sears for 51 years from June 26, 1941, until his passing December 16, 1993. Seven years later Margaret was then married to Shirley Chinn for 20 years from February 19, 2000, until his passing on October 10, 2020.
Margaret was a long-time and faithful member of Central Parkway Church of God and Batavia Church of God. One of Margaret's great loves was caring for children of friends and neighbors and providing love and care to Hamilton County foster children. These children were much loved and part of her family.
Margaret's life was touched in her last year by the loving care of many, including niece/caretaker Michelle Eldridge, longtime friends Kathy and John Heekin; Marcia Shepherd; Niece Eva York; Wayne and Jan Chinn; Neighbors Dinah Liggett, Cheri Cunningham, and many others. This love and care will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.
Funeral service will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Saturday, January 8th at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
