Obituary for Marjorie L. Mehl

Marjorie Louise Westerfield Mehl, born in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, on August 26, 1923, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on July 16, 2018. Raised in Providence, Kentucky, Marjorie came to Cincinnati in 1947 with her husband Jonah Mehl, and here they raised their three children. An avid golfer who belonged to Terrace Park and Coldstream country clubs, she kept herself active line dancing, playing bridge, watching college basketball, and laughing. She loved the Lord, her family, Kentucky, and life, but she was certain where she was going and was not afraid to give up this life for that promise. She joins those who passed on before her, her parents Aaron and Jessie, brother Paul, husband Jonah, and dear family George, Debbie, Natalie, Laura and Jenna. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Louise (Stuart) Dornette, her son David (Bonnie) Mehl, grandchildren Wesley (Liz) Mehl, Carson (Ashley) Mehl, Marjorie (John) Connell, Anna (Ian) Miller, David Dornette, seven great-grandchildren, and her nephew David (Sherrie) Westerfield, all blessed to have known and loved her. Service at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, Beechmont Ave and Forest Rd Anderson Twp. on Fri. July 20, at 10 AM. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242 or the Anderson Hills United Methodist Church, 7515 Forest Road, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
