Obituary for Mary Schmidt (nee Wermuth)

Mary Martha Schmidt (nee Wermuth), 91 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Mass of Christian Burial at Guardian Angels Church, Mt. Washington on Thur. Dec. 12, at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit at the Church on Thur. from 9-10:30 AM. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Mary was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elmer and Luella Wermuth on October 27, 1928. She married Bob on October 29, 1949, recently celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her devoted husband Bob "Lovie", children, Diane (Mike) Farley, Robert M. (Nancy) Schmidt, Steven (Cindy) Schmidt, Nancy Schmidt, John (Lisa) Schmidt, Mary (Jack) Ramsey, Amy (Leonard) Zeh. Grandmother of Lauren Farley (Mitch Minnielli), Brett Farley, Andrea (Nick) Glace, Eric (Crystal) Schmidt, Matthew Schmidt, Steven (Cameron) Schmidt, Kelsey (Caleb) Justice, Sean (Carly) Schmidt, Ashley (Justin) Noel, Molly (AJ) Hall, Kelsey (Nick) Foege, Hallie Chartrau , Taylor (Dalton) Wagoner, Trevor Chartrau, Jill (Andy) Hoelmer, Jacob Ramsey, Katie Zeh, Sara Zeh, Hannah Zeh, Zachary Zeh. Great-grandmother of Jaxon, Maura, Abby, Henry, Daniel, Kaylyn, Addy, Audrey, Haylee, Mason, Caroline, Colton, Jace, Sawyer, Oakland, Ellison. Dear sister of Paul (Janelle) Wermuth, and the late Ruth (Bob) Schaub, Howard (Mable) Wermuth, Ethel (Bob) Demasters, Victor (Gwen) Wermuth, Helen Williams and Shirley Seitz.
Daughter-in-law of the late Jerome (Rosina) Schmidt, Sister-in-Law of Tom (Susan) Schmidt, Jim (the late Jean) Schmidt, and the late Jerome (Babe) Schmidt, Evelyn (Ed) Zeisler, Donald (Marilyn) Schmidt. Adored Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was a friend to many including those from the Rosary Altar Society, Mt. Washington Playground Mother's Club as President, McAlpin's, Shriner's bingo, and Venus Condo Tree People. Lifelong friend to Josie Luehrmann, beloved travel partner to Betsy & Kelly Kellerman, and many others she met and loved.

Most may not know that our Mother was the 50-yard dash champion in grade school, which she was so proud of and would remind us of that when we try to get away when misbehaving that she could catch us!!!!
