Obituary for Mary Ann Wertz
Mary Ann Wertz, "MAW" (nee Rapien), age 89 of Union Twp., passed away March 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Wertz. Loving mother of Steve (Sue), Ted (Linda), Jerry (Tina) and Peggy Wertz.
Adored grandmother to Carie (Jeff) Brandt, Brian (Jess) Wertz, Kelly (Eric) Tanner, Danny Wertz, Kevin (Tiffany) Wertz, Jennifer Wertz, Becky (Adam) Sinkhorn, Kory (Alex) Hetzer, and Becky (Evan) Nichols. Awesome great grandmother to Mia Brandt, Jax, Kellen, and Mila Rose Wertz, Kate and Luke Sinkhorn, Thomas Hetzer, and Landon and Maeve Nichols.
She is also survived by her dear sister Eileen Kruse and so many loved nieces & nephews.
MAW had many talents and enjoyments including sewing, cooking / baking, playing the piano, gardening and volunteering to help others.
Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Veronica Church on Saturday, March 18th at 11 am. A private family inurnment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either St. Dominican Sisters Monastery, 2636 Monastery Rd., Linden, VA 22642-5371 or Cincinnati Nature Center, 4949 Tealtown Rd. Milford, OH 45150.
