Nadine E. Gelter (nee Merritt) passed away on Mon. Dec. 21, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Gelter, her children Nathaniel Gelter, Katherine Workman (Nathan), and her beloved granddaughter Amanda Workman, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her sisters Jewell Rattliff, Janet Vest (Paul), Helen Merritt, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lucy Merritt and Sister Ellen Christine Merritt. Nadine retired from Hershey Foods where she served as the Cincinnati sales office manager. Nadine was also the first woman to serve as an Anderson Twp. Park Commissioner, serving in that role for 19 years. She was very instrumental in the acquisition of the Johnson Hill Park where the Gelter Grove has been established. She was extremely proud of the local parks and the dedicated employees.
