Susan Jane (nee Furnish) Coats, age 67, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones. Susan was born on March 2,1955 in Kansas City, MO to Eugene and Jane (nee Kepley) Furnish. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1977 after marrying Steven Coats on Sept 18, 1976. Together they moved to Cincinnati in 1983 and raised three children. Susan worked as the office manager of Guardian Angels Church until 2020 and was an active parishioner. She loved the church as well as reading, gardening, crafting and trips to the lake. She cherished family, and being a mom and later a grandmother, was her greatest joy. She is survived by her husband Steve, father Eugene Furnish, sister Patricia Bagby, brother Timothy Furnish, three children (Jennifer, Ryan and Rebecca) and three grandchildren (Leo, Audrey, and Windsor). She is predeceased by her mother Jane Furnish and her sister Kathryn Eastburn. A visitation will be on Monday, June 20, from 9 -10:30 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church (6531 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45230) followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the Church beginning at 10:30 am.
