Susan Kaye Memke Veldkamp, 65, of Anderson Township Ohio, died on June 5, 2021 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Susan (Sue) is survived by her mother, Mary Jo Memke; her husband Bradley Veldkamp; her daughter, Kristen Veldkamp; her siblings, Sharon Memke Wright, David (Julie) Memke, Sally (John) Vogele; and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, William Kenneth Ken Memke. Sue was born on August 9, 1955 in Denver, Colorado to her parents William Kenneth Ken Memke and Mary Jo Memke. Sue received her education and training to become a registered nurse at The Christ Hospital School of Nursing. Sue loved her career as a labor and delivery nurse, where she worked a combined forty years at The Christ Hospital, Mercy Anderson, and St. Elizabeth Edgewood. Sue loved to crochet baby blankets and baby hats in her spare time, and would regularly donate them to the hospitals in which she worked, as well as to her church. In addition to nursing, Sue taught herself how to design websites. This led to Sue starting her own web design business where she designed many websites for both local and national businesses and organizations. As an avid animal lover, Sue volunteered many hours at the Clermont County Animal Shelter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent, payable to Jasons Dream for Kids, Inc.
