Tamara Doan, a loving parent, sister and daughter passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Jewish Hospital on January 16th, at the age of 51. Tamara, known as Tami to those closest to her, is survived by her parents Burgess and Sandra Doan, her brother Burgess Doan II, sister-in-law Jennifer Doan, children Tre' and Bre'Ana Doan, her nieces Jessica and Tessa Doan and nephew Burgess Doan III. Tamara was a Turpin graduate of 1987 and earned an Associate's Degree from the University of Cincinnati. She was a beloved community member of Anderson Township. Tamara is best remembered for her charisma, willpower, dedication to family and wicked sense of humor. Her beauty reigned inside and out, and is seen in and through her two children, Tre' and Bre'Ana Doan. Her devotion to God was seen in her compassion and service for and with others. Tamara will be deeply missed by her friends, family, 2 dogs (Rudy and Louie) and her community. Funeral Service at Horizon Community Church, 3950 Newtown Rd., Newtown, on Sat. Jan. 23, at 11 AM. Friends may visit at the Church from 9:30-11 AM. Pastor John Kirby, a part of Horizon Community Church, will be the clergy for the service. Tamara will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery alongside family members Bill and Edna Knox and Kay Perdue.
