Combs, Virginia L. "Ginny" (nee Short) age 93, died May 4, 2021 and James E. age 94, died May 12th, 2021 after almost 75 years of marriage. They were the beloved parents of Greg (Cathleen) Combs and Jeff (Pam) Combs and devoted grandparents of Jessica, Luke, and Eric Combs. Virginia was the loving sister of the late Virgil, Melvin Jr., and Jack Short and James was the caring brother of Dolores, Ernie Combs, Gloria, and the late Leo Combs. Ginny was an amazing wife and mother who adored her family. She enjoyed painting and also authored her own book. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Cincinnati Police Dept. after 24 years of service and then went on to run the Police Academy at Scarlet Oaks for 15 years. The funeral service for Ginny and Jim will be held at Clough United Methodist Church, 2010 Wolfangel Rd., Anderson Twp., on Saturday, May 15th at 1pm.
