Andrew Jackson Burkhart, 98 of Cincinnati passed away August 27, 2025. He was born July 31, 1927, in Woodbine, KY, the son of the late French and Sarah Jane Burkhart.
Beloved husband of the late Imogene "Jeannie" Burkhart. Loving father of Andrew "Skip" (Terri) Burkhart Jr., Tami Voss and Tari (Duane) Fahrnbach. Cherished grandfather of Jack, Sara (Brad), Alex, Tricia, Connor (Kalie), Carlie (Anthony), Caden and great grandfather of Tobin and Declan. Brother of the late Edith (Bill) Wilson, Marie (Arvil) Shepherd, Clyde (Pauline) Burkhart, Viola Burkhart, twin brother Thomas (Alice) Burkhart, Dock Burkhart. Also survived by sister-in-law, Nadine and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew married the love of his life on January 1, 1949. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army in Korean Conflict 1952-1954. Upon completion of active duty, he spent his career on the railways, with L and N which now is CSX Railroad for 50 years.
A devout Christian, Andrew was a long-time member of Central Parkway Church of God where he spent many years volunteering including handyman work at Church and members homes. His love for God and his family was his number one priority.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 11 AM at Lakeside Chapel (on the grounds of Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2155 Compton Rd) where visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.
