Born on April 4, 1937, in the bustling city of New York, New York, Barbara was the daughter of Ralph Nesbit and Elizabeth Hogmer. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Nancy Ballantine. Barbara's life was filled with love and adventure, characterized by her passion for learning and her zest for life. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in speech therapy, a field in which she dedicated her career to helping others find their voice and communicate effectively. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her work touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her personal life was equally fulfilling. Barbara was an avid golfer, often found on the greens perfecting her swing. She was also a talented photographer, capturing the beauty of the world through her lens as she traveled to distant lands. Her adventures took her across the globe, collecting memories and stories that she shared with her loved ones. Barbara is survived by her devoted daughter, Elizabeth (Liann) Ann Thress, her son-in-law Greg, and her adored grandson, Alex Thress. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild ( Gabe ), who brought her immense joy and pride. Barbara's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, where her family will honor her memory and the incredible life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the League For Animal Welfare, an organization close to Barbara's heart. The League For Animal Welfare is located in Batavia, OH, and is committed to improving the lives of animals in need. Barbara Ann Ness will be remembered for her kindness, her adventurous spirit, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
