Barbara J. Taylor, 91 passed away January 7, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of the late John and Della Twohig.
Beloved wife of the late Richard L. Taylor. Loving mother of Rick (Diana) Taylor, Sheryl (John) Sheshull, Greg (Donna) Taylor, Steve (Denise) Taylor, Tom (Shari) Taylor, Chris Taylor and Heather (Brian) Davis. Cherished grandmother of Aaron (Amanda), Austin, Emily (Greg Louis), Pierce, Randi (Brad), John (Karen), Corrie, Alexa (Brian Hannah), Clay, Hannah (Jared), Michael, Maria, Katie, Jake, Ellen, Cole, Charlie, Parker, Evie and great grandmother of Jackson, Miles, Reagan, Rowan, Remi, Ryan, Brady, Rome, Fallon, Sophia, Cora, Livi, Luke and Romey. Dear sister of the late Jean Boland and Bud Twohig. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mom lived an ordinary life in an extraordinary way. She raised seven children and when that job was over she lovingly cared for our dad as he battled cancer. She then took care of her mother who lived to be 101 years old. She performed the hardest jobs with great love. It is a tribute to the person she was that during her time of need her seven children provided round the clock care for her. She died in her own home, in her own bed surrounded by all her children. She was a true role model of what a wife and mother should be. We, her children, were blessed to also call her our friend.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 12, 10 AM at St. Veronica Catholic Church (4473 Mount Carmel Tobasco Rd.) where visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo Catholic Church (2573 Saint Leo Pl. Cincinnati, OH 45225).
