Clifford J. Gilb Jr.

Clifford J. Gilb Jr., age 83 of Union Twp., passed away peacefully March 20, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Melanie E. Gilb (nee Liggett), devoted father of Amy (Joe) Sahlen, Becky (Bo) VanDiver, Jenny Gilb, Karen (Joe) McGinn, Clifford J. (Kristina) Gilb III, Don (Christy) Gilb, Susan (Roger) Tabor, Tim Day, Rick (Wanda) Day, Jeni (Tony) Williams, Paula (Rick) Phillips and Karen Welch. He is also survived by 29 loving grandchildren, 49 cherished great-grandchildren and 1 precious great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his dear friend Joann Blasing.

Cliff was always active and involved in many hobbies. From working on cars to pipefitting and demoing golf clubs, he did work he loved for over 60 years. His biggest passion was his family whom he loved making laugh, teaching skills and spending time with vacationing. He was a bright light in the world and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Veronica Church on Wednesday, March 26th at 11 am where family and friends may visit from 10 am until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation or  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are greatly appreciated. Mesothelioma is a rare cancer that doesn't get a lot of support. More research funding to find a cure for this brutal cancer is needed.
