Dan enjoyed a distinguished career in video production and editing that spanned over four decades. His expertise contributed to numerous notable projects, including assisting in the editing of the science fiction film D.A.R.Y.L.. He also produced and directed training videos for GE Aerospace and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), blending technical precision with creative storytelling. One of his most celebrated achievements was producing and directing the PBS show American Woodshop, which earned him a Telly Award in 2001 which was a testament to his exceptional talent and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his work in video production, Dan was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a delicatessen in downtown Cincinnati. His professional endeavors reflected his diverse talents and tireless work ethic.

Dan's creativity extended into his personal life as well. He was an avid woodturner who appreciated the artistry of working with wood. A devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite team. Dan also had a passion for movies especially new releases-and was a dedicated collector of comic books. His love for science fiction, both in literature and film, fueled his imagination and curiosity.

Dan is survived by his wife, Susan Magnafichi; his sister Patricia Magnafichi; stepbrother Mark Ladd; stepdaughters Alyssa Duncan and Angela Corbly; stepson Clay Rosengarten; and grandchildren Cortney Norton, Abigail Hammons, and Evan Corbly. He was predeceased by his father Anthony Magnafichi, mother Phyllis Ladd, and stepfather Donald Ladd.
