David B. Lundy, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026.

Dave was the beloved husband of Jill Lundy (née Flanagan); loving father of Amy Kleiner (Doug) and Adam Howard (Sandy Thompson); cherished grandfather of Nick Howard and Ali Kleiner. He was the devoted son of Glen A. Lundy and the late Helen R. Lundy (née Carden), and the dear brother of Brian Lundy (Vaunda) and Jeff Lundy.

Dave attended Tallmadge High School in Tallmadge, Ohio, graduating in 1966. He went on to attend the University of Cincinnati on a golf scholarship, majoring in Business Management with a minor in Economics, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in 1972.

In January 1972, Dave began his career in public service with the City of Cincinnati, working as a guard at the Workhouse from December 4, 1972, until June 30, 1973. On July 1, 1973, he joined the Cincinnati Police Department, graduating as part of the 59th Recruit Class. He was promoted to Patrolman on November 25, 1973, and was issued Badge Number 128.

Officer Lundy was first assigned to District 5 on January 25, 1975, before transferring to District 2, where he proudly served the remainder of his law enforcement career. After 25 years of dedicated service, Officer Lundy retired from the Cincinnati Police Division on February 7, 1998.

Following his retirement from the police department, Dave began working in security for American Financial, where he continued to serve for 15 years.

In retirement, Dave enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends, especially his retired brothers and sisters in blue. He was no stranger to the 19th hole, often enjoying a beer with his golf buddies after a round. He loved vacationing in Florida, listening to music, and watching the PGA Tour and Cincinnati Reds on television. Above all, Dave took great pride in caring for and supporting his family.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 20, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home.
