Deborah "Debbie" C. Whelan (née Conrad)

Our beloved mother, Nana (grandmother), and sister, Deborah "Debbie" C. Whelan (née Conrad), age 74, of Anderson Twp., passed away, September 15, 2026.

Born on August 8, 1952 in Decatur, Alabama to the late John H. Conrad, Jr. and Rachel M. Conrad, Debbie was loved by many and a steady presence for everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren.

Debbie also found happiness in the things that were uniquely her. She loved Harry Potter, had a special fondness for owls, and could never have too much of her favorite color, purple. An avid football fan, she loved cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Cincinnati Bengals and rarely missed a chance to watch them play. These little things became part of who she was and will forever bring fond memories of her to those who loved her.

Debbie is survived by her children, Jason Whelan and Kelly (Stan) Hesketh; her cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew Whelan, and Ashton and Hope Hesketh; her loving sister, Linda Smith (Tim); and her loving brother, Billy Conrad. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Conrad, Jr. and Rachel M. Conrad; brothers, Bobby Joe and John H. Conrad III; and her sister-in-law, Katherine S. Conrad.

A Prayer Service will be held on September 25 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a visitation until 7 p.m. at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home on Beechmont Ave. in Cincinnati. A private gathering for close family and friends will follow the visitation.

Debbie will be laid to rest in Birmingham, Alabama, on November 14, 2026, where she will be buried alongside her parents and brothers.
