Denis Deimling, age 91, peacefully went to rest on May 31, 2026 surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on September 12, 1934, the son of the late Richard and Ann (Woestman). He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Patricia A (Hauserman), his “Magnificent 7” children, Fred (Kara), Denise (Mike) Meinhardt, Keith (Joya), Stan (Diana), Brenda Weingartner, Beth (Dennis) Jones, Linda (Don) Robinson. Also survived by one brother Phil (Barb) Deimling. Preceded in death were brothers Ralph (the late Rita) and George (Donna) and son-in-law Tony Weingartner. His legacy lives on in his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Denis spent his entire life in the Cincinnati area, graduating from Purcell High School. He opened and operated Glen Rose Dry Cleaners in Mt. Carmel for many years before finding his niche, spending the rest of his career selling real estate. He served his community by volunteering as a scout leader, officer for the Glen Este music association and coaching softball.
His real joy was spending time with family, enjoying the many family traditions that they founded. Some include 4th of July celebrations, Christmas Eve parties, “break up the winter” events, and formal Thanksgiving dinners. Also, instrumental in arranging countless fishing, boating, camping and hunting outings; including teaching family and friends how to water ski, although he himself had never skied.
When he wasn’t busy with his children and grandchildren, he spent many hours tending to his roses, garden, grape arbor, fruit trees and watching local sports. He enjoyed creating personalized greeting cards, playing pinochle, calling “the Wizard” and orchestrating scavenger hunts.
He had many aliases, affectionately calling himself “Chief FOI” and “Joe Doakes”. He may have been “Full Of It”, but he was far from “the average man”.
