Dorothy J. Wilmers (nee Dunagan), age 93, passed away on March 11, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Robert Wilmers, loving mother of Dianne (Doug) Deye of Scottsdale, AZ, Michael (Joyce) Wilmers of Cincinnati, OH, Mark (Juli) Wilmers of Cincinnati, OH, and David Wilmers of Phoenix, AZ, proud grandmother of Kristen (Steve) Kalupski, Jennifer (Peter) Karellas, Nick (Suzy Stilgenbauer) Wilmers, Sarah (William) Gerth, Kelsey (Matt) Hoy, and Elizabeth (Devon Malagari) Wilmers, great grand grandmother of Jett Kalupski, Mia Kalupski, Gus Karellas, Evie Karellas, Finley Wilhelm, Dylan Wilhelm and Lennon Kaeser and dear sister of the late Earl Dunagan, Catherine Hollifield, Ruth Burkhart, Mary Dolores Balzer and Theresa Meyer.
Dorothy‘s greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She cherished all the time spent with them here in Cincinnati, but also loved her trips to Arizona visiting with her Arizona family.
She was a Cincinnati sports enthusiast and an avid golfer… winning frequent club championships in the 80s and 90s.
Married for 32 years to the love of her life Bob, she was unfortunately widowed at a young age. With so many years ahead of her, Dorothy kept very busy having fun. Whether it was golf, bingo, bowling, card games, or trips to the casino, she enjoyed being active and engaged with her family and friends.
Her Catholic faith was strong and unwavering throughout her life and gave her great strength and comfort during her final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (7820 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45255). Friends may visit the church from 9-10AM. Burial at Gate of Heaven.
