ELAINE ESTHER HEIS KAY
January 8, 1938 - April 2, 2026
Elaine Esther Heis Kay, 88, of Cincinnati passed away April 2, 2026. She was born January 8, 1938, in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Stephen Charles and Ruth (Wittmeyer) Heis.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Paul Kay Jr. Loving mother of Michael (Pamela) Kay and Daniel (Sherry) Kay. Cherished grandmother of Amanda (John) Benza, Brittany (Zach) Chalupa, Courtney (Justin) Hoover, Mason Combs, Megan (Drew) Foster and great grandmother of Michael, Joanna, Aubrey, Clara, Beau, Avery, Adelyn, and Dillon, plus a baby girl on the way. Dear sister of Gene Heis, Charlene Allen, and the late Ruth Ann Needels.
Elaine was a devoted homemaker who lovingly cared for Robert (Bob) and their sons until they grew up and formed their own families. She doted on her grandchildren, creating treasured memories and sharing special moments with them. Her lifelong friends included "The Lunch Bunch," a group of women who met while they were serving as elementary school "room moms." She also maintained a remarkable 70-year friendship with a pen pal from England.
After a brief battle with cancer, Elaine passed away in the family home, surrounded by loved ones. Her husband of 67 years, Robert, known to her as Bob, preceded her in death just three months earlier, on December 29, 2025.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 11 AM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home (2050 Beechmont Ave.) where visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.
