Georgia Lee Lisi (nee Vonderhaar)

November 8, 1942 - July 16, 2025

Georgia Lee Lisi, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. She was 82 years old.

Born on November 8, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Georgia was the daughter of George and Betsy Vonderhaar. She grew up in a lively and loving home, one of seven siblings. She is survived by her siblings Bonnie, Rosemary, Della, Chuck, and Dottie, and was preceded in death by her sister Janet.

Georgia was the cherished wife of Joseph C. Lisi for 63 years and the proud mother of six children: Kimberly Grimes (who preceded her in death), Kelly Lisi-Smith, Kathy Lisi, Krista Lisi, Joey Lisi, and Janet Lisi. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren-Brittany, Taylor, Alexandra, Trisha, James, Zachary, Carson, Brady, and Ethan-and twelve great-grandchildren: Keeghan, Kennedi, William, Liam, Declan, Enzo, Gino, Mia, Wesley, Gracelynn, Georgia, and Poppy.

A devout Catholic, Georgia lived her life grounded in faith, family, and unconditional love. She was the heart of the Lisi family-strong, honest, unapologetically herself, and endlessly caring. She found joy in the simple pleasures-gardening, painting, cooking, dancing, and most of all, spending cherished time with her family.

And if you ever had Georgia's famous Sunday meatballs, you knew they weren't just a recipe-they were a symbol of her love, her heritage, and her desire to make everyone feel at home. Her meals, like her presence, brought people together.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the traditions she started, and the family she held together with grace and grit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
