It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hallie Celeste Helmes on June 8, 2026.

Born on January 28, 1994 in Anderson Township, Ohio, to Paula (nee Baioni) and Richard Louis, she was a very artistic and loving person with a passion for horses.

Hallie had many talents and interests. She was an accomplished pianist, having taught herself, and played beautiful long and complicated pieces. Many of the pieces that she played she had composed herself. She also enjoyed playing the guitar and ukulele.

Hallie owned several horses during her lifetime, the last a thoroughbred named Sky that she dearly loved. She had worked at Maple Ridge Farms and most recently Riverside Stables in New Richmond. One of her dreams come true when she met well known horse trainer Clinton Anderson at the Kentucky Horse Park.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her 9-year-old son Ramsey Poe, and enjoyed taking him on walks and to the park, as well as introducing him to the world of music and working on art and school projects.

Hallie was an avid animal lover, and truly loved her cats Meeley and Felix, who left this life before her. She also loved birding and kept feeders in the backyard year round. She was particularly fond of hummingbirds and had a live feed of all her birds. She even fed the squirrels and a herd of deer that regularly visited the backyard.

Hallie was very mechanically inclined and could assemble complicated pieces of furniture. She could figure out why something didn’t work and fix it after researching it on the web. Once she bought a broken grandfather clock and brought it back to life after a few minutes.

Music has always played such a big role in Hallie's life. Hallie loved attending concerts and music festivals. One of her favorite musicians was Lady Gaga. She saw her in concert in Chicago, Atlanta and DC this year.

Hallie was a graduate of Turpin High School in 2011 and attended Northern Kentucky University.

Hallie leaves behind her beloved son Ramsey, parents Paula (nee Baioni) and Richard, her cherished sister Elyse Roberts and brother in law Erik Roberts, and her beloved niece Sydney, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
