Jerold Shelton

Jerold Shelton, 82 of Cincinnati passed away July 30, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1942 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Howell J. and Betty Shelton.

Beloved husband to Sondra (nee Koenig). Loving father of Todd (Cindy) Shelton and Jay (Tracy) Shelton. Cherished grandfather of J.T. Shelton, Jessica Shelton, Rory Shelton, Cameron Shelton and great grandfather of Penelope Shelton and William Shelton. Dear brother of Lynda (Herb) Summers, the late Steve Shelton and Karen Kohler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He retired from 5/3 Bank as Vice President in 2007. He was very active in youth sports, coaching and serving as a football official for many years. Jerry spent many years living in Winchester, KY and was a huge University of Kentucky fan. An avid reader, he volunteered many years at the Public Library in Lexington. He was also a history buff which led him to become a member of the Civil War Round Table. He was a true family man, always supporting his family from holidays, sporting events or even enjoying Jersey Mike's!

Graveside inurnment will take place on his birthday, August 6, 12 noon at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Celebration of Life Luncheon to follow immediately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to St. Judes; Shriners; or Wounded Warriors.
