Joan B. Lane

Faithful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Joan Lane (nee Childs), age 84 of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Arden Courts of Anderson on June 10, 2026.

She was born on June 10, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joan was the beloved daughter of Edward & Sarah Childs. Joan graduated from Central Vocational High School in 1960. She enjoyed a career as a medical records keeper.

Married to Douglas Lane on May 31, 1962 until his passing on February 14, 2022. She is reunited in heaven with her dearly loved child, Lois Carmen Lane and husband.

She is survived by children Gregory Lane, Connie (Martin) Kimsey and Jeffrey Lane, her brother Russell Childs (Jan) and preceded in death by sister Charlotte (Bob McCord).

In addition to her children, she leaves behind her precious granddaughters, Chloe Kimsey and Grace Kimsey.

In her free time, Joan enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She expressed a love for the arts thru ceramics, drawing and painting.

A Memorial Service will be held in Thursday, June 18 at 1PM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home (2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington). Visitation from 12-1pm. Burial Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
