Tim Cappel, age 68 of Anderson Twp., passed away, May 28, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Cyndi H. Cappel (nee Howard), devoted father of Matt (Julie) Cappel, Greg (Tara) Cappel, and Ellen Cappel, caring grandfather of John, Libby, Gemma, and Louise, loving companion of Lauri Robertson, dear brother of Cindy Cappel, Kathy (Tony) Schott, and Pam (Greg) Tully, and cherished son of the late John and Joan Cappel.

Tim and Cyndi were married for 35 years and built a wonderful life together full of love and happiness. The couple loved long drives, walks in the neighborhoods, binge watching a favorite tv show and spending time with mutual friends. Together they raised three strong children and welcomed two independent daughters-in-law. After Cyndi's passing, Tim happily took on the role of "Cappy" to four beautifully energetic grandchildren who were ever enthralled by his tractor and sports memorabilia. In his final chapter, he also found companionship in Lauri Robertson with whom he enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining family and friends

Tim grew up in Cincinnati attending Anderson High School and Xavier University. He had lifelong friends whom he treated like family, often welcoming them with open arms to family holiday gatherings. He had an innate ability to connect with just about anybody he'd meet which led to decades-long professional and personal friendships.

In his professional life, Tim spent over twenty years with Humana followed by a career at Christ Hospital where he passionately worked to make a positive impact in healthcare. A mentor to many, he was respected and loved for his tireless work ethic and ability to build meaningful relationships.

Tim was the resident gardening and landscaping expert, making his weekend rounds to help out around the yards of each of his kids' houses. He was a loyal Xavier Musketeers fan bringing family and friends to basketball games and holiday tournaments in tropical locations. An avid golfer and beloved member and VP on the board at Coldstream Country Club, Tim was a constant presence most weekends either playing golf with his normal crew or just hanging out on the patio talking with friends.

Tim will be deeply missed as he watches over family and friends in heavenly reunion with wife Cyndi and parents John and Joan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church on Thursday, June 4th at 11 am where family and friends may visit from 10 am until the time of Mass. If desired, memorials may be directed to Breakthrough T10 (Formerly JDRF)
