In Loving Memory of Joyce Lynn Weaver

Joyce Lynn (Jackson) Weaver

Joyce Lynn Weaver, lovingly known as Joy, passed away on November 2, 2026. Born December 19th 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Joyce leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and a family who will forever cherish the woman she was.

Joyce was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to so many. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Weaver, with whom she shared more than 40 years of marriage. Their epic love story was one built on a lifetime of devotion, commitment, and memories. She spent so much of her life loving and caring for him, and while their time apart was heartbreaking, there is comfort in knowing they are together again.

Joyce was truly one of a kind. She had a smile that could light up a room, a laugh that was contagious, and a sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. She loved cracking jokes, spending time with friends, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was sharing a beer, taking a shot, or simply sitting around a bath tub fire with the people she loved, Joyce knew how to make a moment memorable. She was stubborn, strong-willed, and hardheaded in all the ways that made her who she was, but beneath that tough exterior was one of the most loving, selfless, and giving women anyone could have the pleasure to know. She was the kind of woman who would give everything she had to make sure the people she loved were taken care of, always putting others before herself.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. Joyce loved nothing more than having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gathered around her. Whether it was grilling out, going out to dinner, enjoying a family outing, or simply spending a quiet day at Mamaw's house, those were the moments she treasured most. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and love, and her famous chicken and dumplings will forever be remembered by everyone lucky enough to have had a plate. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home.

Joyce is survived by her loving children, Amanda (Rob) Brewster, Aimee (the late Jay) Gaskins, and John Weaver II; her grandchildren, Ariel Bailey (Arron), Jay Gaskins (Fallon), and Kylie Bailey (Nate); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Bentley Noble, Jay Gaskins ll, Paisley Noble, and Blake Miller; her sister Jackie Jackson; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved each of them with her whole heart.

Though her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, the love she gave will live on through the family she raised, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the traditions she left behind. Her strength, kindness, humor, and unconditional love will continue to be carried by those who were blessed to know her.

She was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the heart of her family, the keeper of countless memories, and a woman whose love will never be forgotten.

May Joyce and Jack rest peacefully in love forever until we can be with them again.
