SHERLOCK Judith Ann, 84, of Milford, passed away after a long battle with Dementia on Saturday March 14, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late James E. Sherlock, loving mother of Mike (Chrysanne), Brian (Kim), James (Heather) and Matthew (Elizabeth) Sherlock. Affectionate grandmother of George, James, Anne Marie, Alex, Jack, Andrew, Carlie, Sam, Katie, Luke and Isabella. Caring sister of Joan Thompson (John) and Christine Drake (Mike). She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Ruth Wellstead.
Judy will be remembered for her immense passion and unwavering devotion to helping others. In her early years, she earned her nursing degree from Bethesda School of Nursing in Zanesville, Ohio. After raising four sons with her husband, Jim, she returned to her studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Mount St. Joseph University. She later continued her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she received a Master’s degree in Counselor Education.
Judy was deeply active in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where she used her gifts to help lead both the Grief Group and Parent Support Group. She also dedicated her time to the RCIA mission, guiding and supporting adults as they entered into the Catholic faith. Judy spent countless Saturdays volunteering at Our Lady of the Mountain Parish in Stanton, Kentucky, offering her compassion and service to all she encountered.
Judy worked at the Professional Pastoral-Counseling Institute, where she was committed to supporting others in their wellness and spiritual growth. She was a powerful listener, deeply present and attentive, and was relied upon by many for her wisdom, comfort, and understanding.
Outside of her work and ministry, Judy found great joy in gardening, exercising, traveling the world, enjoying a cup of coffee, and cheering on her beloved UC Bearcats. Her joyful spirit, captivating smile, infectious laugh and endless positivity will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Tuesday March 24th with visitation from 9:30AM till time of Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 7820 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of The Mountain in Stanton, KY in care of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
