Karen J. Domizio

Karen J. Domizio (nee Andresen), was born in Cleveland, OH to Charles A. and M. Berenice Andresen. She was the oldest of five children and was raised in Goshen, Indiana. Karen attended the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN where she became a Registered Nurse. Following graduation, Karen joined the US Army, earning the rank of First Lieutenant before receiving an honorable discharge.

Karen married Donald J. Domizio in 1968 until his death in 2002. After honeymooning in New Orleans, they relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio to start a family. Karen is survived by her three children, Annemarie (Oakland, CA), Marisa (Bristol, UK), and Daniel (Suzanne) (Cincinnati, OH), and her three grandsons whom she loved dearly, Dominic, Vincent, and Jory. She was predeceased by her sister Felicia and is survived by her siblings Edwin, Monica, Denise, and nieces and nephews.

Karen was a fashion icon and always dressed to the nines. She loved cooking, entertaining, interior design, reading, crosswords completed in pen, bridge, coffee with cream, animal print-anything, sweets, her home in Winter Park, FL, and her beloved animals, Fritz, Dickens, Buster, Bella, and Lily. She enjoyed her bi-annual trips to San Francisco to see Annemarie, international trips to see Marisa and myriad baseball games with her grandsons. She volunteered extensively with Ursuline Academy of Cincinnati and ran a bereavement support group in Winter Park, FL for many years.

Friends may call at St. John the Evangelist in West Chester (9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069), Monday June 2nd from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Memorials may be directed to the SPCA of Cincinnati.
