Kathleen Agnes Magner (née Kelly), age 89, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. Born on November 5, 1936, Kathleen is survived by her four children: Mary Magner (Joseph Preston), Maureen McCroskey (Jeffrey), Dr. Thomas Magner, and Karen Magner (Derek Johnson); her brother, Dr. Lawrence F.X. Kelly (Roseanne); her seven grandchildren: Colleen, Sean, Jens, Elodie, Cael, Sophia, and Zara; and her nephew and nieces: Ted, Kate, Claire, and Marya. She will be joining Tom, her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, her first daughter, Kathleen, and her parents, Alice and Edward F. Kelly. A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Kathleen exuded joy and positivity in her life, generosity toward all, and an unwavering devotion to her Catholic faith. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

The daughter of Edward and Alice Kelly, Kathleen was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in North Bergen, New Jersey. She attended Sacred Heart Academy, Hoboken, NJ, graduating at the top of her class, and completed two years at New Jersey State Teachers College before following her husband, Tom, to San Antonio, Texas, where he was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. Shortly after, she and Tom moved to Dayton, Ohio, where he worked as an aerospace engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and they raised their family. Kathleen and her husband were members of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, WPAFB, for many years, where they formed a lifelong group of friends from all over the world. Kathleen moved to Cincinnati to be near her daughters, Mary and Maureen after the passing of her husband in 2015. Exhibiting the characteristic resilience she showed throughout her life, she soon formed wonderful new friendships within her church and community. She befriended people with generosity and warmth, forming friendships with astonishing ease everywhere she went. Kathy lived for the last several years under the kind and compassionate care of the wonderful people at the Ashton of Anderson. Her family remains immensely grateful to them.

Kathleen had a special devotion to Mary, the Blessed Mother. This devotion informed her attitude and actions in life, from being a respectful daughter to supporting her husband through his challenging decades of illness. She often said her children were her greatest joy in life, and she remained a constant source of love and peace for them throughout her life. She shared a relationship of reciprocal admiration and profound love with her brother, enjoying a friendly competition with him now and then. Her grandchildren affectionately knew her as "Nannah," and shared numerous bowls of ice cream with her. She will be missed beyond measure
