In Loving Memory of Leonard Michael Coffey
July 25, 1969 - July 7, 2026
On July 7, 2026, Leonard Michael Coffey passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 56.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Evelyn Coffey; his brother, Joe Coffey; and his sister, Dannette Coffey.
Leonard leaves behind his loving daughter, Sara Coffey, and his cherished grandsons, Camden and Jamison. He is also survived by his siblings, Chip, Evelyn (Kevin), Dwayne, and Mike, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and countless close friends whom he considered brothers.
Leonard was a lover of life. He loved fishing, kung fu, and anything that got him outdoors. He was also an incredibly hard worker, dedicating more than 25 years of his life to Gerbus, where he earned the love and respect of those who knew and worked alongside him.
More than anything, Leonard loved sharing his wisdom, his stories, and his unique perspective with anyone willing to listen. He lived life on his own terms-authentic, unapologetic, and free. He believed in resilience, encouraged others to be strong, and never hesitated to tell you exactly what you needed to hear.
He was selfless, quick with a joke, and wise beyond his years. The legacy he leaves behind isn't measured in possessions but in the values he instilled in those who knew him: respect others, live freely, be honest, stay humble, and love the people around you fiercely.
One of Leonard's greatest joys was bringing people together. There is no better way to honor his life than by gathering in his memory, sharing stories, laughing, remembering, and being there for one another-just as he would have wanted.
