Linda Louise Kimsey entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 12, 2026.
Born on July 2, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Linda was the beloved daughter of Bill and Naomi Marriott, faithful wife of Robert W Kimsey and cherished mother to Kristy (Raymond) Gaskins and Martin (Connie) Kimsey.
In addition to her children, she leaves behind her precious granddaughters, Lindsey (Corey) Chapman, Chloe Kimsey, and Grace Kimsey, as well as her dear great-granddaughters, Norah Chapman and Lucy Chapman.
In all things, Linda's life exhibited her love of God, her family, and her community.
Linda's love for Christ was consistently reflected in her volunteer work through her church in Georgia. She enjoyed working in a local thrift store, making quilts for children entering the county foster care system, and participating in women's ministry outreaches.
Linda created a loving and caring environment for her family; a home in which her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids could thrive and experience the joy of being together.
To further demonstrate her servant's heart, Linda was known to support her community through mission and charity work. As a young mother she would often help make bandages from cotton cloth and assemble care packages for missionaries working overseas.
Her love of children and family led her to open a Christ-centered daycare in 1979. It was one of her most special accomplishments.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed crafting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and hosting her family and friends for meals and fellowship.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
