Miriam Julia Flick, of Cincinnati, Ohio, entered eternal rest on October 12, 2025 at the age of 79. She passed peacefully, with Jack faithfully by her side, after a life filled with faith, love, and family.
Miriam was the beloved wife of John Flick, cherished mother of Sam Flick (Kelly) and Nancy Burns (Jason), and adored grandmother of Nora Flick, Liam Burns, Maizy Flick, Abby Burns, and Thierry Flick.
She was a devoted daughter of the late Robert and Miriam (nee Hagerty) Franer and a loving sister to her late siblings Thomas Franer, Judy Franer, and Connie Hurier. Survived by siblings Ann Stevens, Elizabeth Dye, Margaret Hoerst, Susan Franer, Amy Schlosser, Robert Franer Jr., William Franer, Donald Franer, and Luke Franer.
Miriam lived a life of quiet strength and deep faith, and had an unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her dedication to the education of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews will be remembered by them fondly. A niece of Miriams said recently that her love of reading is because of Aunt Miriam. She was extremely smart, knew most anything about any subject and was fluent in Latin.
Miriam was an everyday mass attendant at St. Rose and led the rosary before mass everyday during the week. Miriam and Jack always sat in the second row on the left in their pew and prayed the rosary together. Her devotion to the church was beautiful.
Miriam and Jack were married for 54 years. Their devotion and constant companionship to each other was admirable. They were each other's best friend and each other's protectors. That became very noticeable during Miriams sickness where Jack stood by her unwavering. A nephew of Miriam and Jack said recently "May we all have a Jack by our side till our last days."
Anyone that knew Miriam knew the way to her heart was a Coke with lite ice! It was made sure, till close to her last day, she still had her delicious coke!
"So, also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you." - John 16:22
