Phillip N. Royse

Phillip N. Royse, EdD, age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on March 26, 2025. A dedicated educator and passionate historian, Phillip spent over 30 years dedicated to Catholic education, shaping the lives of many students throughout his career. A proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he earned his Doctor of Education degree, and his love of history and travel to historical sites was a defining aspect of his life.

Phillip was a devoted husband to Mary M. Royse (nee Roat) and a loving father to Andrew C. Royse, Christa E. Cafferky, and Ann C. Royse. He was also a cherished grandfather to Tyler J. Cafferky, Meredith D. Royse, Emelia L. Royse, Collin C. Royse, and Alex J. Cafferky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Josephine Royse, and brother Earl Royse.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at TP White and Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45230. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis DeSales Church, 1600 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206.

Phillip will be remembered for his wisdom, kindness, humor, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
